cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
Can someone who owns a 17B with a 3.0 fridge let me know how much room is in the cabinet under the fridge? Is it open all the way to the back when looking inside the cabinet door?
Thanks,
Nadia

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
No, it is very narrow.
I keep plastic bags, a small wisk broom/dustpan in there and a flashlight...
Same size as the one on the lower part under the sink..
I keep cleaners/dish soap/scrub pads etc under that one....

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
We have the larger fridg in our 17B - the one that is standard in the 5'er. That little cabinet is a great place for any heavier food stuff - like canned goods, etc. We always try to keep heavier items lower so the that center of gravity never get too high in the trailer.

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
When we had our 17B made, we had the fridge put up as high as it would go, since we do not need space for a microwave. This allowed us to move the furnace below the fridge and have space beside it for a large drawer. Below that, I had just enough space to fit a sliding drawer with two cutouts for plastic bins for recycle stuff or garbage.

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
I cannot believe the extremes that Escape will go to in modifying their designs to accommodate customers, and, the ideas that customers have. When we ordered our 17B this forum didn't exist. I just wanted to get my deposit in for delivery mid-July so we could have it for vacation.
Since then I've seen a lot of modifications that I would have considered if I knew that they could be done.
When I win the lottery, I'll have to upgrade to a 19 and a Hoyota 4-Runner, with the stainless sink and AC, and .....

Having draft beer on tap built in and cooled via a propane fueled chiller.... and where you have the taps installed - inside &/or out!

Could the external shower be modified somehow to become a tap?

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
Chris, thanks for posting the pictures, that is great!
No kidding about the extremes Escape goes to for accommodating us. This forum is almost making ordering a trailer difficult....because everytime I see a mod I think YES! I can use that. I am glad I have some trailering experience already and kinda know what I want, but seeing all the great things that can be done (and have been done) is incredible!! I am thankful for the flexibility I have in ordering my "escape" trailer.
By the way...isn't that new tongue box Reace working on going to be the beer fridge (or in my case...the cooler fridge). As long as he installs a drain plug in the bottom...filled up with ice and beverages....the box looks like it will be a fair size....

Re: cabinet under 3.0 fridge in a 17B...
I find the twelve packs of cans are really handy for distributing weight in the trailer. They have a built-in handle and are stable. I find I can put up to six dozen in the front and balance that with another eight dozen in the rear.
Or is it the other way around?
