And that is the exact reason that when we ordered our Casita, then later our Escape (that we miss as we sold it) I specified "Naked, no stickers" and so that would never be an issue for anyone.

I prefer the naked look myself (aherm) on a Fiberglass trailer....

but one funny story -when we posted our Casita for sale, with lots of details in the photos and the text - I got one very angry inquiry from a grumpy person who said "THAT IS NOT A CASITA!! WHERE ARE THE STICKERS!!??! and WHAT THE (bleep) IS THAT?"

To me a white fiberglass trailer without decals to break up that vast expanse of whiteness looks like a beached whale.

I think they look like cargo trailers, especially if the belly band is also white. Not so much the classics, but yeah... the 2nd gens. Don't hate me, just my opinion.

In my mind, 'stickers' are what you give to a three-year-old kid. They even appreciate the ones that come on fruit and veggies.
What you're talking about are 'graphics'.

No, they're decals. Graphics are the look, the end product is this case is vinyl. Stickers are paper, decals are vinyl.

I've decided the naming must be regional. Kinda like pop and soda.

I think the way we pronounce decal is also regional. We say deck ul, you say D-kal

A sticker has a gummy back. A decal cannot be removed in one piece. But, whatever, they're all graphics.

What about Brett Favre? He can't even pronounce his own name.

Decals coming loose

Need some help here!

My decals on the trailer are all starting to peel off. Should I try to glue them back down or just rip them off. If I tried to glue down, what should I use?

They look so bad, that wife says just rip them off and buff out where they were.

I would not want to glue them down...I would take them off.

If I had to stick them down I would gently fold the loose end back, apply transparent double sided tape, trim to the decal edge then fold back over to the trailer. You may be able to save a few Escapes but probably not the stripes.

I would just remove them. If you want replacements pull over to a graphics shop prior to removing them and get estimate for a new set.

These are not designed to be glued back down...take em off. Use a heat gun to get it soft and start peeling. You will need to use a solvent to get the residual glue off. I also saw a wheel that you put in a drill that can help get them off.

Back when I used to do sign work for a living most of the vinyl was warranted for 7 years for the expensive 3M stuff, 5 years for mid grade and 3 or 4 years for the cheap stuff...so you probably got your money from it. Not sure what Escape uses but still.

You could order a replacement set. If you do, the dark colours, like my dark green last a lot longer. My graphics are on a 2008 trailer.

Tom then keep putting 303 or similar constantly . It really helps with the uv’s . I also use on other places on trailer , rubber , inside wheel wells , helps to clean them . Pat
Maybe reorder from Escape .

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Per your consensus (and my personal feelings as well), the graphics are coming off.

I found out why my decals failed so quickly - it turns out two years is twice as long as they were suppose to last.

Durability for HP 700-215-O Gold - 1 year (my decals)

Thanks - I'll definitely do that. $300ish is not bad. And definitely NOT Gold!
