Question Clever place to hide a small safe?

Hi all

Sometimes laptop / ipad / cameras come with us camping.

Any clever place to bolt one down, without blocking further access?

I.e. Under the bed just in the one interior door would block access.

And

Any clever build mods to do, to make a space?

Thx.

There are always small spaces which could be storage cabinets, but are not considered (by the manufacturer) to be worth putting a door on or otherwise preparing for use; there have been a few discussions of spaces which Escape owners have made into usable storage. Any of those with an access panel that doesn't look like a door could be a good place for a safe.

We placed a portable safe in our tow vehicle (Tundra) behind the passenger seat on the floor. It has a safety cable that loops through the seat track. It's big enough for iPads, GPS, etc.

Cool - do you have a make and model?

And do you like it?

Tow vehicle may have some advantages.

Thanks everyone for info and links.

The safe I got was the ADB-928 Portable Car Safe with digital lock on Amazon. Amazon shows it currently unavailable but you may find it elsewhere. I looked at many different ones. Tip...look for portable gun safes and then check the dimensions for your iPad etc. Yes, we like it. It's big enough and simple to operate. It won't stop a determined thief but it may send them looking elsewhere.

Our Tundra has a very large center console and we installed one of these. Made of heavy gauge steel and fits like a glove. Very secure.
