Corner molding removal?

I am considering running a cable from under the driver side bench up to the cabinet above. Looks like putting it behind the padded corner molding would be easiest. But, not sure how that molding might be removed without damaging it or the attachment. Has anyone done this who could enlighten me?

Thank!

Just pop off the single plastic cap to expose a screw, loosen the screw and remove it. You might have to lift up a bit or pull down a bit on the corner piece to do so. Easy peasy, I have done it off a couple Escapes now. .

I agree with what Jim said. Once the screw is out the top of the cover tucks up into the cabinet about a half-inch or so. Just pull it down and flex it gently and it will come out. You'll also find a seam in the insulation that makes a good wire run for small wires.

Thank you Jim, Doug, and Betty! Yes, I saw that button but was not sure if it was one of those Automotive pop-out retainers or a hidden screw head. So, thanks again for the clarification. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
