Crittergate design
Whilst pondering on a method to keep 3 dogs off the bed both while we sleep and when we aren't in the trailer I decided to use a screened room divider approach. The 3 panels are built with plastic (of course) and hinged; one pic defends the bed while we're gone (taken from the rear of the trailer) and the other (shot from the bed end) contains the critters in the kitchen/dinette are but allows access to the bath at night in our 21.
Ends are secured by butting up to the projections of the doors/drawers.

It's important that the dogs have access to the bathroom whilst you're away from the trailer.
This reminds me of when my husband and I had a miniature schnauzer. He would wait until he thought we were asleep at night and then jump up on the bed at the bottom. He would pause and then tip-toe up between us, lie down, and sigh. He wasn't fooling anyone. We loved it.

That would have never kept any of ours off of the bed. It would be down in a minute! You may need another plan. . Keeping dogs off bed: rather impossible. Keeping cats off bed: impossible.

I've been thinking more about a ways to keep my 3 beasts ON the bed in my new 17B, meaning making more wall space to push them against... My brain is in the process of configuring a "bed rail" which I can also mount a small flip-up table on to increase counter space. We'll see where this goes...

Actually it works very well for our 3 dogs as they're trained to respect borders.

We're working on the same problem. Also a way to keep them off dinette. Thinking about having a "not under foot " place under the bed and dinette seat. We've got a year to work it out. Looking for other ideas.

There are pet gates of many designs and some are taller than others. They could be used across the dinette area, wedged in place at the wall ends.

To keep them off the dinette (and seats) while we're not inside I decided to make them a cave, with hinged panels that store flat under the dinette cushions when not in use. Works quite well.

That is a great design, especially if you put dog beds or rugs in there for them.

There are 3 terriers, and each has there own bed underneath the table, far enough back to avoid the furnace blowing. Fortunately, only 1 snores........

It looks like there is a short hinged section that slips under the seat cushions to support the bottom edge of the vertical gate wall. The photo is a view from top looking down onto the plywood bench.

As John said, 2nd pic shows the hinges that allow the sides to fold flat for storing under the dinette cushions. The "wings" were sized to allow access for the storage space below the cushions without having to remove them.
