Jim,

I just know I could hack into the AC and make that happen but no time or need to do it now... If I ever do I'll share the details with you.

Just a quick question on the digital thermostat installed by Escape. Does anyone know if it shows outdoor temperature also?

If Escape is using the same digital one they installed in my 19' for the heat, it will operate both the a/c and heat now. There is no outdoor sensor. I really like the digital thermostat, I have had them in 3 of my trailers, they are accurate with little temperature swing and gives you the current reading. In one of my trailers I had a 2 stage Atwood furnace with digital thermostat. It would come on at 22,000 btu for awhile and then the thermostat would cut it back to a lower speed 10,000 btu setting. Really nice and quiet at the low setting.

Steve,

So I bought one of these [pic above] but realize now that I don't know what I'm doing. Too many options.

Do I connect the white wire to the W and the pale green to the RH? Or the other way around?

If you order a new unit, ETI can install the Dometic digital thermostat that controls both a/c and heat.

What model Dometic A/C is standard these days? Along with which Dometic Digital thermostat?

Finally, if the digital thermostat is chosen, does it change the interior panel of the A/C (as in the manual knobs don't stick down anymore?)

Gotta freeze the build sheet this week!!!!!

The thermostat is a Dometic and it eliminates all the knobs/controls on the overhead unit itself.

Thanks Jim,

We did a last visit to Dave&Kathies 21 in Portland this last weekend prior to submitting a final build sheet by June 1 and those little black knobs hung down JUST ENOUGH that I scraped my head on them every time I went under the A/C.....
