There are stops at the rear of the side rail, so they won't slide backwards into the wall. I think that with the movement of driving down the road, they may end up sliding forward on their own and banging into the cupboard door. So I will lock them in place before travelling.
When I mounted them, I moved them them far enough back so that I would have the option of sliding them forward a 1/4 inch or so to align holes in the side rail and basket rail. Then I can put a "travel bolt" through both holes to lock the basket to the side rail.
I haven't decided yet if that will be my ultimate locking solution. I might just mount a small bracket, and wrap a velcro strap around the basket and bracket to lock it, or some other velcro solution.
