Elfa Shelving & Clothesline

I've been getting our 5.0TA for its maiden voyage to Osoyoos and started my short list of mods by replicating those I did on our previous 19'. The first is some Elfa Shelving/drawers from the Container Store. The large basket (and a similar one under the stove not shown) were perfect fits. The two sliding basket arrangement had to be "adjusted" for height but it was a matter of simply cutting the soft aluminum with a hacksaw. The second mod is a very simple yet effective indoor clothesline (mostly used for drying bath towels). In the dinette area, I simply screwed-in four fairleads available at any marine supply store (I used cheap nylon ones from Marine West) in the four corners of the upper cabinets, strung across and over to one another and secured them with a cam cleat. I love simple solutions to issues as shown in the photos below:

Sorry, but I couldn't find any help on the Forum's threads on how to successfully rotate the photos attached. So, until I am enlightened, simply lay on your left side and enjoy

Did the bottom cabinet come with that shelf or did you have ETI add it? Great ideas.

Looks great, Rich. Those fittings might work great for a loft curtain I plan to install. I will just use elastic cord with hooks on the ends, instead of using a full rod. Lisa always sleep in longer than me, and liked the curtain in our temp trailer.

Not much for marine shops in Calgary, just one. Might look at these fairleads online.

I thought of that use as well, Jim. And for the exact same reason. . Because they are made for marine use, they can get ridiculously expensive (stainless steel parts, etc). These are simply injection molded nylon and were about $3 each.
