Entry/Exit Handle

I would like to add of these handles to either side of the door jamb (most likely the left side as you exit the trailer, as the right side has the refrigerator) to assist when exiting the trailer. It seems that when I'm exiting I want to grab onto something and a couple of times the retractable screen has been the answer. There is a +-3" jamb between the screen and the seal for the door. Any thoughts of whether or not something like this can be installed there? I don't want to jeopardize the structral integrity of the jamb and the handle will obviously require solid anchoring.

Thanks,

Re: Entry/Exit Handle

I think that may be one for Reace. Other than reinforcing the fridge cabinet and putting a handle there or attaching some sort of a strap (kind of like they used to have in cars), at another locale, I can't think of much. Since mine has not yet hatched, I don't know if reaching and using the outside one is a viable solution.

Re: Entry/Exit Handle

Reace are you out there? Any thoughts? Maybe this is something you can install when we bring our trailer up in June for the guacho/bunk bed addition?

Thanks, Steve

Re: Entry/Exit Handle

Another idea. I saw one of those suction bath/shower handles to aid in getting in or out , that are obviously re-positionable. Could that work without doing any damage?
