Flexspout from e-trailer.com
This was posted in a different thread, but I thought I would create its own thread for search purposes.

I got to get me one of those and put a shutoff valve in it like I saw elsewhere. Our shower hookup is on the passenger side and we have to use the hose to do dishes outside now.

Here's ours.
I posted it in another thread but it should probably be here.
Very nice for washing dishes outside.
I added a ball valve so we can set the temperature and just start and stop the flow.
We use it with this table.

See post #1 for picture, there is no shut off valve, that needs to be purchased locally or elsewhere and installed if need be, otherwise you use the built in valves in the factory hook up, I use the refer veg bin as a sink and just turn on the hot side for washing, no extra valve needed.

I just bought a 1/2" threaded plastic ball valve and a short brass nipple at a hardware store. Nothing special about it, although I did pick one that turned easily. The flex has a male thread so it can go right in the valve. Then thread the short nipple between the valve and the quick connector.

Received mine yesterday. I bought the valve and nipple to go with it at Menards for less than three dollars.

I am failing to see much advantage to this. Most often we are using pure hot for washing dishes, or cold only for drinking. This would be a bit of a pain with this valve installed.
One thing I am planning to do, is to change out the valve handles for something easier to get my big mitts on.
I bought two of these spouts well over a year ago, long before getting my trailer, having searched for something like this with a quick connect for doing dishes. Turned out to be a popular item now. They certainly do work well.

Jim, I think you're the one who started this craze. If so, thanks.
The picture might be a little deceiving. It doesn't feel that tight, and I can't fit my hands into a lot of gloves marked XL. Also you can always roll the valve to the side if it's a problem.
Anyway like most camper things it's usefulness depends on how you use it.
Here's a couple of better pictures.

I was referring to the valves on the external shower, they are a bit awkward to use.

Red Dog, thanks for posting the info on the flex spout. I literally came to the site this evening to look for it, as I'd seen it in a picture someplace before, and there it was. Ordered.
I believe (hope) most of the big box hardware stores would carry the ball valve?
Thanks,
John

I always get a chuckle when there is an odd item that a seller stocks like this and they suddenly get a run on them. I imagine the eTrailer people wondering why these gooseneck spouts are blowing out the door.
Same when Pat posted those stainless hinges and we completely sold the company out of them in two weeks. Funny stuff.

Glad to be of service! I don’t have the ball valve on mine, so off to the store in the morning!

Words of caution:
Just be careful using these spouts and adding additional attachments. The metal quick disconnect is only supported by the thin plastic wall of the shower enclosure. I have seem them break in the past on other units, mainly by pulling or adding a long heavy attachment. The enclosure would be messy if it had to be replaced, I'm happy having and using it, but it can be broken if not careful.

A coiled hose with spray attachment similar to this.
