For all the new 2017 owners to be....

What are/is your first modification planned for your new home from Escape? I'm planning on a bathroom wooden floor and somehow tapping into the furnace for heat in the bath area.

Might be room between the front of the bath insert mold to snake a small diameter hose where the bath door is located. I snaked wires through the one in our 21. Or just use louvers in the door itself.

We're thinking of drawer inserts into the "pantry" cupboard. We have them at home and I can't imagine going without in the trailer. I also want to see if we can fit a cutting board into one of the existing kitchen drawers, letting it sit on top of whatever mechanism I can convince my husband to install! We can drill a hole into the board and have it serve as a cover to the cutlery holder.

The current furnace (Atwood AFSAD12) comes in a ducted version (the AFSD12), which has the same size case and same outside venting configuration. You could ask Reace if he would consider installing that furnace; perhaps Escape could install it with just front output like the standard furnace, and you could later extend a duct from one side port right into the bathroom. If you ask really nicely, maybe they'll punch that duct into the bathroom for you, although I don't know what kind of register/grill you would use in a shower - a plastic one you could close only when showering might be good. The duct only needs to be 2-inch to 4-inch in diameter. Atwood's installation manual says front plus one side duct (which can end in a closeable register) is is a valid ducting configuration for the AFSD12.

Like the old 8012, the AFSAD12 does not have enough fan power to push air through ducts, and that's why it takes less electrical power (34 watts instead of 41 watts).

Not exactly sure if these all qualify and not all of 'em will be done right away:

1. Install Bali blinds

2. Install the Purple People Eater, oh wait, Purple Line Mover, which will require drilling some holes in various places

3. Underbed storage drawers by Charlie

4. Apply custom graphics to the outside (weather dependent)

5. Replace tan plastic screw covers with black (or another color yet to be determined) covers in kitchen and wherever else they are (someone said in a post there's some by the bed)

6. Custom vinyl wrap for the door - oh wait, just kidding, but it does sound like fun!

7. Custom poster insert for the frig - now that sounds like tons of fun!

8. Maybe add a short "shelf" support on the outside corner of the bed, depending on how much the Select Comfort bed overhangs

wooden floor = teak shower mat

I bought a teak shower mat at Bed Bath and Beyond. It is a pretty close, although not exact, fit in a 21 shower.
