Our 19 is a 2012 , not quite sure when Eti started using the ac units with soft start but I suspect upgrading a unit with out it would not be that hard

I talked to Tammy yesterday and she said the Honda 2000i would run the AC in the 19er. I suspect it's the same with the 21er. She mentioned the soft start being the reason.

On Coleman units all it amounts to is removing the top cover and replacing the starting capacitor with a different value. Probably the same - there are two caps - "start cap" and "run cap" on AC motors.
