Grab handle at door?

Our trailer is due for delivery in the next couple of weeks. Excitement builds. The company web site shows that Reace and Tammy might be camping in Oregon this weekend. So I address this to the assembled brain trust:

We might like a grab handle on the outside of the trailer to make entry easier. Kathleen's arthritis sometimes makes stairs awkward. There isn't normally one there, is there?

Thoughts?

Re: Grab handle at door?

I believe they come with one! Mine did. I'm just pondering something for the inside, because grabbing onto the screen door frame is not allowed! Since I had "all white" trim, Tammy asked if I wanted the assist handle white also, to match the "belly band" and the exterior lights. If you look closely at the some of the posted pictures on "Show your Escape", you can see them.. On the Escape web site home page, the newer ones have the handle. The main pictures are of the older ones.
Congratulations and best wishes. Hopefully you will show us your new Escape too.

Re: Grab handle at door?

The little black grab handle that came with my escape I thought was too small and high on the door. I had a long illuminated acrylic tube handle installed (just like some motorhomes) which is more functional in two ways (provides soft white light and easier to grab).

Re: Grab handle at door?

Is it battery operated? What did you use to anchor it to the fiberglass? Some sort of molly-bolt? Sounds like a nice idea. Did you have to spackle the holes from the original handle?
