Hooked on Escapes

Hi: All...Here's a pic. of some neat hooks the original owners put over the bathroom door. They don't require screws or magnets and are probably avail. at hardware/building supply stores.

Re: Hooked on Escapes

Thanks for the pictures. Are there little foam cushions behind the hook bar?

Re: Hooked on Escapes

Hi: Sandra...Yes they aren't very professionally cut pieces of sticky foam but they work as spacers. I added a mirror under (behind) the hook bar and fastened it to the door with strips of "No More Nails". The mirror is now permanently attached to the door. We use the hooks all the time for jackets pants etc. Wouldn't be without them.

Re: Hooked on Escapes

So obviously there is no trouble closing the door with the hooks on there??/ At Christmas I bought a wreath hanger and my darn front door would not close with it in place.

Also, does the shower curtain go in front of the door so the door does not get wet? If so, then that hook looks like an excellent addition....

Re: Hooked on Escapes

Hi: Amirie... The door closes fine!!! My wife sews a piece of cotton tape across the corner of the towels so they hang on the hooks too!!! Yes the shower curtain goes from behind the pottie to the front corner past the door. We also carry a faux chamois in a zip loc baggie to wipe down the walls etc. and a rubbermaid type bath mat on the floor to stand on.

Re: Hooked on Escapes

Looks like a great accessory Alf. I like the idea sowing the tape on the towel corner too, it would be way less bulky where you put it on the hook.

Re: Hooked on Escapes

My mom crocheted little hooks on our facecloths for the Boler to make it easier to hang up...
She is always looking for projects- LOL -so I may get her to do some for the towels too..

The rubbermaid mat sound slike a great idea too...
Boy, looking forward to the day when we have our trailer inour yard and I can plan where everything goes..
One month tomorrow we will pick it up!!
