How to clean valance curtains
Now that the pollen is almost gone in our area, I was planning to vacuum the screens and valance curtains. Then, it occurred to me that I may not be doing it in the most efficient manner.
How does everyone do it?

I assume they are the pull down shades, both sides as well as the screen in/out side.

My wife uses Swiffer Dusters to clean the shades - she loves them. Vacuuming sounds like a better way but I would worry about making creases in the shades from it.
The screens are easy as they just pop out. I take them outside, spray them with some spray cleaner, run a water hose on them, dry them, and pop them back in.

Okay, thanks, not that I've cleaned them.

It was easier than I thought. I was able to reach the back side of the pull-down shade from the outside, once I removed the screen.
All the pollen and dust is now gone.

Fred:
So, how do you get to the back side of the front and rear windows? At least in our '19 those don't open.
We replaced the standoffs on all our windows. The old plastic ones were cracking and one flat out failed. While the standoffs were removed we popped the whole curtain from its clips. Once off the window, it was carefully expanded and vacuumed. Then reinstalled. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
Glad you were able to solve the problem. Thanks for the post and ideas.

The back windows are two separate units and we can tilt them open, so they were easy. We have no front window in our 21’.
