Truth be told, I'm laid up with a broken foot. Last year it was knee surgery.
I did get out for one 12 day trip in late June. Best holiday ever. Zig zagged down Washinton and Oregon, then up Higway 1 from San Francisco to Washington border.

What exactly are screen snaps, and where do they go?

thanks.

If you buy the optional screen room, it is attached to the trailer with snaps all around.
No screen room / no snaps.

We have a u-shaped dinette with the optional door under the seat---great for shoes. After a few times of losing my shoes, I asked Charlie (RV Widget Works | ,) to make us a HUGE storage box with a sled to keep our shoes, flashlights and misc items within easy reach from our door. Easy to access when the seats are down and we even have a place for dirty laundry! We love it and I installed it myself!

Biggest one to date for me - 36 inches long. Dividers are removable.

We also have the 19 and had Charlie make the drawer for us too . I see from your picture looks like your 12 volt has some protection cover with your 2015 . Ours was a 2013 and that was one of the first things I had to do , protection cover for 12 volt . That is a little improvement . The drawer is really a great mod and very handy . Pat

It's All Good

I have started the process with a visit to Chilliwack and putting down my deposit for a 2017 19. Now the fun begins. Sarah has promised to walk me through each item on the Build Sheet that I have questions or concerns about. But I really value the input from all the owners on this forum. I will read through all these posts. And maybe have some questions that can be fielded by those with experience. I get the advice of making the trailer suit your needs. It's interesting that even at home now I am trying to imagine what doing all my daily activities will be like in the Escape! Looking forward.

Congratulations on your decision! And yes, I can confirm that Sarah will be a huge help in getting your build sheet the way you want it. Our build sheet is due tomorrow, and I can tell you that Sarah gives 110% in the customer relation-satisfaction part of ETI. The waiting time seems long, and it is, but the advantage is that it gives you time to plan, learn, change and change... With the result you bought yourselves a trailer that represents you!! Good luck and best wishes!!

If you purchase the optional screen room from the factory with your Escape, they will install the needed snaps to secure the optional screen room to your Escape exterior.

Does Escape still offer this? Haven’t seen it in the build sheet cost model they have on their website. Be very cool if they do!

You are correct, it is not shown so a quick call to them should give you and answer and if so, please post back, thanks

To answer my own question, at your suggestion I called Escape. I got their voicemail, so thought it best to e-mail them. Melisa replied (always very responsive), and said Escape no longer offers the screen room option.

Very few bought the screen room, and of those that did they rarely used them. A separate screen shelter is a better option especially given it can be used away from the trailer, in my opinion.

I got my screen room as part payment for some video work I did. Mostly too lazy to set it up. Only used it a couple times. Found bugs are easy to squash when they get trapped inside.

Thinking now that I should just leave it at home since it weighs a fair amount.

I bought one with my first Escape and it was a chore to install and take down, so it was not used often. Never got another one with my next 4 Escapes....
