Installing the Tornado Tank Rinser

Hi guys,

I would like to install the Tornado Tank Rinser in our 5.0 Classic. I can find the grey tank and a nice spot for me to install the tank rinser but i also would like to install that nifty thingy in the black tank.

Is there any way to reach a suitable spot for the Tornado without stripping the complete furniture in the 5.0 Classic?

I inspected our 5.0 yesterday but i'm not able to find a easy access sport.

Do you guys have any thoughts on this one?

Thanks for your help in this one.

Every time I installed one it leaked a little, but it was outside and made no difference. Your black tank is inside so any leak there can be messy.

Eeeeewwwww I really do t like the idea of the black tank leaking under the bed!!!!

Has anyone else had good or bad luck with this Tornado thing ?

I did a search (titles) and only came up with this one thread.

And

On a 21' Escape are there any other options for an easy black clean out that gets the gunk off the sensors?

I have installed one before with no problems. I think if you maintain proper installation procedures, there is no chance for a leak. No different than the drain, or the probes. If concerned, get a professional to do it, though that is not always a guarantee.

Never tried one, but one of the toilet wands might work.

Prank I heard of somewhere:

When no one is looking, kids open and close the black tank gate. Oh what fun when the owner removes the pipe cover at the dump station.

I am going to install a Tornado rinser on my trailer and will use a stainless steel u-type nut plate to hold it in place rather than rely on the plastic tank material. Standard U-Type Fasteners - Bolt Products Inc..

I am also making a black tank wand with a Tornado rinsed on the end. I'll post those projects when I am done.
