Kitchen sink upgrade

The following may be considered a mod, but to me it was an upgrade. When we visited ETI and shortly thereafter ordered our 21, I was not impressed with the sink options. ETI was willing to install the faucet I sent them, but the sink choice was either their white plastic or stainless steel. The long-term durability of the shallow plastic one was a big question for me, and the ss one was shallower. In hindsight I should have had them not install a sink at all and then I could have selected the one that seemed best to fit the space. So I choose the plastic one, as the footprint was a little smaller than the ss one. I could always make the hole bigger, but to make it smaller was more difficult! What I had not counted on was the template cut out they used was a rectangle with square corners, not one with a radius in the corners. So after removing the plastic sink to confirm the exact hole I had to fill or enlarge, my quest for the replacement began. The majority of bar prep sink corners have a radius that would not cover the corners of the hole. That meant going to a much larger size sink. Fortunately there are a few square corner sink, but just a few. I was able to find one that just fit the existing hole and the rest is history. This sink is 8 inches deep, vs. 6 and 6.5 inches on the ETI ones. While some cabinet storage space is reduced below, it will be manageable with a slight rearrangement of the pots and pans. Washing should be easier, I just don’t know how the sink itself will clean up in the tight corners. Removing the original sink was tricky as silicone was used to seal it to the countertop and that is tenacious stuff! The pvc was easy enough to do. Also, the total height of the sink drains available also varies and so I made sure to get a short one. The sink is from Signature Hardware and I do not have any connection with them other than being this one time consumer. The sink arrived quickly and I installed it by the end of the day. The web site link is as follows….

Enjoy, good luck and attached are the key photos,
Larry

Much nicer looking!

I'd suggest a scrub brush with longer bristles that can bend around so you can dig into the corners to get them clean. Yeah, those are pretty sharp corners. Have fun!

Uh oh. Someone is giving me ideas on how to spend my money again. How nice would one of those look next door to my Dickinson Cooktop?

My thoughts exactly, pretty much the same as I plan on using along with the Dickinson 2 burner range.

Nice Job Larry!

No need for the cook top photo... I'm well aware of what it looks like.

I have a similar sink, which I have now had for many months now, purchased to match the Dickinson cooktop (which I have at Escape). I got talked into swapping that for an oven, but the sink should still match. I say go for it Robert.

That looks really great! Is it a simple hook up to the propane? In other words, does the normal regulator at the tanks deliver the correct pressure and volume of gas?

Don't want to hijack the thread any more than it already has been. Post on the stove install - post #18 here:

Dickinson is offering to give me a full refund in exchange. I could just sell it though for what I paid, which was a lot less than advertised on their site. The cooktop has been sitting at Escape for 9 months now.

Ok. Probably easiest to either get the refund or finding someone working on their build sheet that might want to incorporate it into their trailer since it's already at ETI. I'm sure shipping would be prohibitive anyhow.

Finding someone who wants it incorporated into the build makes the most sense, since the stove is already at Escape. The buyer would save a ton on shipping too.

I have had two interested queries already. Just one stovetop though.

Shipping from Dickinson would be in the $50 range.
