Lagun Table Buddy

We installed a Lagun Table on our E21 with U-shaped dinette.

We also wanted to have a little more table space. Thus we recently built a "Lagun Table Buddy". Pictures are below.

For two people, it adds some additional table space. We like that it remains stationary on the cushion when the Lagun table is moving around (useful for a little lamp, drinks, etc.).

For the top piece, we simply ordered another flip up counter extension with folding brackets from ETI. For the back and base, we used some plywood and covered it with some dark cloth. To mount the base to the back, we used some simple shelf brackets from Home Depot. The table buddy is light and can be moved around easily.

(My thanks to Bill from Idaho Falls on his posting on how to install the Lagun Table. His suggestions really made for a strong, solid mounting.)

Bea,
Your dinette area looks great.

Can you tell me about your small table lamp ? It appears to be battery powered.

Thanks,

Bret

Hi Pat - Thank you for your very kind words.

Hi Brett - The lamp is actually a plug-in one, with the cord running behind the "lagun table buddy". However, we did modify the lamp so it would work from a USB outlet rather than the 110V AC. This way, we could use the lamp easily, regardless of hook-ups.

For the lamp, we used the following gadget from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Volt-Light-Bu...s%2C226&sr=8-4

One needs to use 12v LED light bulbs for this configuration.

Hope this helps

Bea,
Thanks. Just what I needed. A table lamp is now on my Winter project list.

What a clever idea! I believe it could be modified for those who are looking for a bed area "coffee table" or place for glasses, book, etc. It could slip down beside the cushions (no horizontal bottom piece) with some smaller folding braces for the sides, like on a card table.

Your rustic lamp is just perfect!
