Lagun User Question

Hello, Did you find the 6 small holes provided on Lagun Mount hold table OK? Finishing up the table (34x21x3/4, birch wood 10lbs) and thinking I might need a small cleat under mount to help with stabilization. thanks

With the ETI table I found the mount to the table as the weak link.

I don't have the measurements here, but first I tried adding 1/2" plywood maybe 18X24, that worked very well but I found the table too heavy when adjusting the heights or removing the table.

I now used a sheet of "stiff" aluminum about 12X18 and find the table very stable and maneuverable.

The wood/fiber that the stock table is made from doesn't hold the short screws very well, but enlarging the area with the aluminum it distributes the fasteners (screws) farther from the center. Worked very well for me.

I used the stock ETI table top and I used threaded inserts and machine screws. It's very solid!

I used a construction adhesive and the 6 screws with the stock table. The stock table is so light I was afraid the screws alone would not be solid enough. With the construction adhesive there's no going back but I was committed to the project. It's been great.

I’m using the stock table and as stated it doesn’t hold screws well. Used construction adhesive and it has held up for 2 seasons now. 🤔 Of course if I ever want to get it off I’ll have my work cut out for me.....

I used the original top including the slide mounted on plywood and it has worked very well indeed.
Make sure you mount so the leg can be placed on its slide for travel or sleep.
