That was my first thought but you're right, this design is much simpler. And, I suspect, more rigid.

My weekend Mod.
Made some lemonade from this weekend's lemons ( rotten weather, everyone with a head cold).
The mod is an expansion tank with the purpose of smoothing out the pulsations from the water pump and adding some residual pressure - so the male with the small bladder doesn't wake everyone else in the middle of the night by running the pump.
Both goals met and in addition the pump seems to be considerably quieter when running.
Finding just the right fittings was an amazing challenge. Probably spent twice as much for fittings than I did for the tank. And I'll spend a couple of hours doing reverse shopping to return the unused parts. But the improvements are well worth the effort. I estimate I can get 2 flushes with the pump off. That should do the trick if I can keep my beer consumption down to a conservative quantity.

mods to our Escape
Finally finished the latest mod . Hate moving cushions to get to my stuff , Guess I am spoiled from past RV 's I have owned . Thanks to Rich Miller for the idea . Also thanks to Charlie Young for my containers that are also waterproof for the shoes and take up less room then the thickness of wood . Charlie worked from drawing to get me what I had in mind . Also easy to clean up if needed . " RV Widgets ". containers are on a slide pull out to reach everything . Still have things stored next to slide - little bottles, First Aide kit , Little air compressor . Can put 6 pairs of shoes in container . no problem . Divider can be moved if needed in larger container . After I raised my seats added 2 pieces to hold little stuff I don't have to dig for . Just lift up cushion and reach in . Now for the big mod trying to get the frig to work a little better by pulling it out and adding insulation and another fan I can operate from inside to move hot air .

Very nice job on the lay-on-top wooden dividers; I like the way they're keyed into the seat framing to keep them in place without fasteners.

Forgot the white wood you see laying on top . is to install at bottom of screen . Had a squirrel push the bottom and get in at beach , and open a bag on table and eat a cookie . Disgusting every thing got Lysol and bleach . They are very brave little guys . I was next door with my dogs and brother . Thankfully screen healed itself back .
