I was thinking of doing what you say, with the exterior shower tapped into the sink plumbing, but would like to adapt more of a sink type head, to get a steady stream, or a spray pattern, if wanted. Even build some kind of stand to hold it over the dish pan on the picnic table.

I agree. The other thing about an additional fresh water tank is weight. Much easier to have a portable container you can fill as necessary.

Think I now have the perfect solution: Drill through your trailer side wall .... right on through your refer ( hope to miss the coils ) .... install a fancy tap and turn your refer into a kegger-a- tor.

If you get the height just right you won't have to get up out of your zero gravity lounge chair .... and besides no worries about the left over used water.

I like your sink / faucet installation .... now I have to decide if it will fit in my 17. I'm a bit confused though about the sink. Looking up the sink, a Franke BMSK802, the computer shows the sink has two holes where your faucet only requires one hole. Is it possible you were able to get same sink but with only one hole?

You are correct, the sink has 2 holes. I installed a standard "sink hole cover", available almost anywhere (including Amazon) in the right hand hole, thus placing the faucet offset to the left, which matches our home sink. It may be impossible to see in the photos, and even in person is not too noticable.

Now, the fit in a 17 will be another matter. Maybe Donna's suggestions will help? It all depends on your priorities - mine was "big sink" at all costs! Guess who is the chief dishwasher in our house!

For those that want to go to a single hole faucet, you could also purchase a pump container that would mount under the sink and comes up through the hole. My mother has one on her home kitchen sink and it's neato for pumping dish soap into the sink. One less thing to store!

Or, install a water dispenser that connects to an undersink filter. Voila- water for drinking and coffee that tastes better. Might take a little pex plumbing, but no biggie.

New Awnings
After living with the awnings I made from material my neighbor gave me (See Posting #1 of this thread) we decided to buy new Sunbrella fabric and improve the design somewhat. The concept and pvc frame, awning rope and awning track remains the same. I will be adding some tensioning straps for very high wind conditions and some snaps on the fringe that will allow us to snap it down to the side of the trailer. (I found some VHB snaps at Sailrite that will be almost invisible below the window.) These snaps will allow us to drop the awnings and secure them without removing them. The basic design for the awnings is on our website below, but I have not posted the new fabric pattern which I will be happy to share details of if you send me a pm.

Just got my parts from Sail-Rite and wondering if adjustable length side supports would be worthwhile (for different angles.) Planning on drivers side and rear window mounts for our 21.

We copied your design and made the awnings for our 5.0 Classic. It is a great mod. We would be very interested to see which snaps you use and how they work out. Please post when you have done that! I suppose you will use the snaps on the scalloped edge?
We also just drop the awnings at night to darken the trailer...haven't had wind problems yet but it certainly could be an issue on a windy night.
