LED Mood Light

I added a string of LED lights to the shelf area on my 19' Escape. The LEDs are dim-able and are remote controlled and offer a pleasing light while watching a DVD movie.

The install was very easy. The LEDs have an adhesive tape backing and attached to the (vertical) shelf stop. The 12 volt source is the light next to the entry door. The remote control unit is in the storage cabinet. Two holes were drilled to allow the wires to make the 90° corner between the shelf and storage cabinet.

I got the LEDs from superbrightleds.com, part # NFLS-x and the remote control from Amazon, "Wireless Remote LED Light Single Color RD Dimmer Controller CD 12-12V 8A."

Here are 2 pictures that show the LEDs on -- with and without a camera flash. The third picture shows the 12 volt light power source.

That looks very "moody"...and done with minimal disturbance to the trailer. Nice job!

Isn't that more of a mod for the bed area, using multi-coloured lights?

Looks good.

I did something similar but faced it down to light our dinette. The lighting on the 17B is pretty harsh there so this string of LEDs with a dimmer works great.

Dang, just when I thought I was done with mods for a while. Just ordered everything. Have to do this one because we were sitting in the camper last night having a glass of wine talking about installing some sort of indirect lighting.

I've "borrowed" this picture from FiberglassRV/CasitaForum. For those that follow Rob.. from Rob&Linda know he is an all molded towable mod guy extra-ordinaire. Love this!

What gauge wire are you folks using for LED lighting add-ons?
