Litter Box placement

We are in the process of completing our build sheet and are trying to figure out a convenient place to put the cat litter box. Is there anyone out there who travels with a cat?? Is there one of the floor cupboards that can be converted for this that works well?

I’ve got a 19 and travel with 2 cats. I use a top opening Clevercat litter box and leave it on the floor on the drivers side next to the bed. (I sleep with my head on the passenger side and this doesn’t affect my getting into and out of the bed). The reason for this position is that the older cat has trouble jumping up to the bed and this makes it easier for her. Both cats are indoor only and think that the trailer is just another room in the house! I always close the hard door when I’m not in the trailer for fear that an aggressive dog might go through the screen to attack them.

21 litter box

The bottom cabinets on either side of a classic 21 are only about 6" deep due to the wheel wells. Under the bed the you could add the second door by the bath and partition off an area under the bed for an out of the way litter box. With that location you could use the bath exhaust fan if needed. The problem with that location is when entering the trailer you will be looking at the litter box.

Thank you for your reply. We are in the process of a 21ft purchase. It looks like you have it placed on the floor of the unit. I may have to also do the same. My fir friend is also a inside cat only. She is leashed trained.

There is a small space between the foot of the 21 bed and the nightstand cabinets that could hold a small litter box. We use our box there as a step for wifey to get into bed and hold her slippers...
