So you started the white belly band! Glad we have ours. Not sure if Escape is still adding them as an option.

ooooh Matching belly band or perhaps contrasting to the decals. NEATO. I happen to like the black. Matches Ten Forward's black decals and... my little black dress
Have you seen the LED belly band Armadillo is installing as an option? I have zero clue if it would fit, but.. think about it.
I do know one Escape owner that uses LED rope light's around the trailer because of camping on the desert on BLM. Leave to join others for dinner, can't find the dang trailer at night because it's soooo dark out! Solar belly band may solve that problem

Yes, I've seen it and was even thinking about doing it, but I like the red vinyl.
Their "band" is just a wide LED strip in the metal channel. No reason it can't be done on an Escape, but there are two possible issues - getting a long enough strip (around 44 feet on a 19 for example) and finding a power source.
You'd need another hole through the shell and splice in to 12V power with a controller. Since it's around the middle of the trailer, the most likely place to tap into existing wiring would be the wires under the interior corner trim.

You know, I love nice looking, well built stuff, but this kinda thing for me is just too tacky.
I have rarely camped where there are lights of any kind, yet have never had trouble finding my trailer. Well, there was this one time after a little too much to drink.

We have definitely had trouble finding our trailer at campgrounds and we are glad to have the amber door light cover. We rarely see our kind of light on the big units.

We once built a 4X8 foot lighted sign promoting the football team where my son was going to college. We mounted it atop the basketball pole so that when our son turned the corner coming home for Christmas he'd see it. Sign was done, worked great. But it wasn't quite enough for my wife. She had me install a perimeter string of chasing red lights. We fired it up and she asked me what I thought. I said "you've gone from classy to cheap whorehouse with one string of lights" Chasers stayed and THE Buckeyes won the National Championship. We've still got the sign ,might have to get her out again but we're still smarting from the smackdown Clemson gave us last fall.

They were crimson at the time but I'd probably have to go black and blue after their last game. Then there was the time the news media did a story on the selection of the city Christmas tree. This was another of my "other duties as assigned." The reporter asked me what the toughest part of that job was. I said "getting the tree straight". It was a on the Main Street downtown. I said The Plaza is Cedar Rapids' front yard and all of the citizens driving be are your old lady. That line hit the cutting room floor. 1,000 C-9 bulbs would spin that meter pretty good.

We have some little solar lights and they are a minimal kind of lighting. I like those.

Maybe it's a southern thing but I do not visualize a trailer named after the armadillo as something I would want. Here is the hat I think they would wear.

Armadillo, also known as possum on the half shell.
Armadillos and humans are the only animals that can get leprosy.
If parts fall off their trailers that's probably why.
What would you call the Armadillo trailer at a RV show?
A roll model.

Seems to me a trailer called an Armadillo ought to be made in Texas. There aren't many armadillos in the wilds of British Columbia. Just saying. [emoji1]

Hi Robert,
While there are probably no Armadillos in British Columbia, they are adapting to cold weather over the years, When I was a kid I remember they were starting to find armadillos in Kansas. Now we are seeing them in the lower 1/3 of Iowa in the Ottumwa area and south into Missouri. My latest bucket list sighting was a roadrunner in New Mexico last week. I've never spent much time in the desert SW so the roadrunner was a treat. All I could say was Beep Beep Your _ _ _. Saw one Coyote eating berries outside of Pratt KS.

Roadrunners are fun to watch. They don't "run" so much as scoot. Big Bend is full of them Dave.
If you're ever in Fort Stockton on I-10, check out the big statue of "Paesano Pete" - a giant roadrunner. They even dress him up for special events or holidays like Christmas.

I just finished putting on the blue belly band on Casa Del Sol and I think it looks pretty good.
