That or a pan of hot water and then wipe it down

Weird, mine was quite soft and easy to install.

I am going to have to wait for warmer temps this afternoon. I can soften the band but the moment it touches the cold metal it stiffens up again.

Shrinkage of what? Metal or band? Not that I can tell. It just gets stiff and pops out after the first inch. Old one came out easily but appears more flexible.

Duh, I had it upside down! Works great now. Took me more than ten minutes but not difficult. Mine matches my car, but not my graphics, those are a little harder to change to red!

I think I'm going to replace my factory white with the black. There is too much effort in keeping the white clean, whereas the black will hide more black dirt long the seams. Question though, does one cut the trim in 2 places like the factory does or use one continuous piece around the trailer?

I did one continuous but that's also how my original was.

Maybe it's the metal trim that is sectioned, not the insert.

Get a 50' roll and don't cut it. One continuous piece of vinyl, just like the original black one on mine.

Well that would explain it. Yes, the ends should face outward, not inward, in order to slip into the channel - like so:

Yes, that'll work Jim, but you'll have about 57 feet left over. Here's a 50 foot roll at Panther RV. There are many other sellers of the 50 foot size.

The 100" is only $10.32 with Prime, so I'll have something for the throw away table at the next rally.....

Here's one source Ginger - but it's WAY more than you need at 100 feet. Can't seem to find a shorter one at the moment. The colors and lengths available seem to change quite often. But, at ten bucks, you could always keep half and redo it years down the road if it starts to look dingy.

Thats what I was thinking. We tried painting our original band, but the paint doesn't dry. Even though it is for plastic. So this one is great. Thanks for getting back to me so quuckly

After having the contrast and matching belly band, I'm staying with the contrast look, easier to keep clean.

We found the teal. New decals to balance it out .

About an hour down the road on a trip two weeks ago, a check of the rear view mirror showed my belly band insert trim peeling itself out of the molding! I managed to pull over and remove the rest of it and save it, but I reckon I’ll just replace it as it is 6 years old now. Maybe go with a different color after reading this thread! Has anyone ever replaced the band on a TA? Will 50’ suffice? Can one buy new new graphics from ETI? The front panel graphics have peeled off as well....
