New mold relief for awnings question
Reace sent me this piece for use as a template for making upper cabinet dividers on the 2017 models without a note as to which way it's oriented in the cabinets.
Can someone confirm my suspicion that the right side edge on this pic is the door opening side to get in the cabinet? Seems like the long bottom edge has to be against the floor of the cabinet.

Charlie,
If you give me some dimensions I'll go out and measure...

One is dimensioned in inches; the other shows the 21 template prior to 2017 model laid on top with the outside roofline curve on the right. Appears that the awning mold modification is all above the height of the door opening.

From what I remember seeing and measuring in the 2nd Gen display models, I'd say you're correct in your assumption that the right side is where the door opening is. There is a steep drop-off in the height between the front and back of the cabinets.

Thanks - looks like I just need to change the shape of the back end of the dividers against the outside wall.

I just measured my o/h cabinets in the front, the curb side is 12" deep at the bottom of the cabinet door opening and narrows down to 5" at the top whereas on the driver side it is 13" at the bottom and narrows down to 10" at the top. I hope this helps.

You're kidding, right?

Thought I was going to find out a solution for mold on the awning?

That's funny- was just finishing cleaning some mold spots on my spa cover- you definitely don't want that happening on the inside. What worked great for that was 1/2 cup of bleach to a gallon of water- let it sit for ten minutes, scrub rinse & repeat. All gone.

Charlie, If you're still curious regarding orientation of the piece Rease sent you, check out the "2017 and Beyond" thread, post #397, photo #5. You get a glimpse at the interior end piece of the cabinet over the galley. Hope that helps.
