New Widgets - unround towel bars

Maiden voyage completed - first thing wifey wants is a place to hang wet towels/washclothes. Since wet things "form" around whatever they hang on when they dry I figured an unround towel bar would help keep things in place when traveling.

Dimensions can be whatever is needed to fit the space to be installed. T is how tall, D is how deep, and W is how wide. Washcloth width I'll make from 1/8th white ABS, towel wide should probably be made from 3/16 due to wet towel weight.

Mounts with VHB tape good to 200F

Feedback appreciated!

sounds like a great idea!

Where did you get it (the widget?) and I'll have to google "VHB" tape - my immediate question was how do you secure it. I suppose the VHB tape will leave residual of some sort on the wall if/when it comes off?

I make the widget and it includes the tape. Have not put it up on my website yet, just looking for feedback to figure out how to price them. The VHB tape residue wipes off fiberglass with acetone very well.

Charlie, I put big clips, the kind that would be used to close bags of chips, at the bottom of towels or wash cloths so they cannot fall off of the towel racks.

Not to derail RVwigetworks, but what's wrong with a 3M Command hook for wet conditions? I've got several in my shower. I hang a toilet brush, a squeegee and towels.
We don't bother with hand soap in the bath. A container of wipes is much easier to deal with and use.

Copied from the 3M Command Website FAQ:

Q: Can I use Command™ Products outside in hot climates?
A: Yes you can with Command™ Outdoor Products. The products hold strongly up to 125°F (51°C).

In the Southern USA, trailers stored outdoors can often exceed this temperature, at which point the adhesive lets the Command product wind up on the floor.....

Another option is IKEA suction products. Have had great luck with them even in 110 degree temps. Just added 2 towel bars. They can be repositioned any time. Will take and post some pics.

If I had a bathroom (and I'm glad I don't), I would want one of these towel widgets as I find them visually more pleasing than others I have seen.
