Oak colored finishing caps

I’m sure this question has been asked a million times but I couldn’t find it with a search. I want to do a mod that needs four of the finishing caps ETI puts on the backsplash. Does anyone have a source to buy these from? Also what is under the cap, tried to get one off but was afraid I was going to destroy it.

One place to get them is from Escape. The caps pop off with a little upward pressure with a flat bar.

Hi: diannelgraham... The "Snap caps" consist of 2 pc's. a flat piece that goes on with the screw and the rounded cap that covers it. Just pry the cap off. Alf

You already have bunch that are not needed in your trailer.

All the ones that hold on your valance over the window can be removed and re used.

Simply pop off the top, unscrew the screw, remove the clear cup washer and re install the screw. The screw will sink nicely into the valance and not be seen again. Try one...you will like it.

This will give you a bunch of caps and cups to use elsewhere.

Good Luck

Thank you! To be truthful I don’t think is ever noticed the caps on the valance, dah. I’ll use the ones over the bed in the back.

You can get the Pro-Dec Snap Caps at Home Depot. Here is a thread on the subject!

You could use them but they are the only ones you are going to be looking up at when your in bed. Most others you are looking horizontal at or down on.

It depends also if you have custom fabric like lime green etc. For the most part if you use a black marker on the screw heads, they hide happily in the stock fabric.

Re screw caps: mind blown. I looked online at home depot...only white. So I checked the manufacturer's website ( http://www.pro-dec.com) They come in 64 colors, 10 cents US each. (that's the cap only) The ones for the trailer are listed as size 12/12 or 5/8 inch. I want to replace the ones in my backsplash, and not sure which color will match best, so I ordered a dozen in two colors. $4.00 shipping, total $6.40. High style!

Thanks everyone. I also found pro-dec on line today, I ordered two different colors. ETI came beck with Honey maple for the stock interior colors which I have, that is one of the colors I ordered. You can also order from the factory for .07 each which is cheaper but I’m thinking freight from Canada is more expensive then US mail.
