Maybe some other accessory but I’d vote for paper towel holder.
Now we are getting somewhere....

Doesn't seem one would need oak for a paper towel holder, unless you just wanted to match the interior wood. If it's a doorstop to mount on the arm of the awning once extended, seems like a 6" piece of foam pipe insulation or jumbo pool noodle to slip onto the arm once the awning is extended would do the trick. They even make white pipe insulation foam to match the awning arm paint (although a bit pricey!), up to 2 1/8" I.D.

As long as it doesn't involve a clockwise swirl or a knuckle.

Another shot of the unit mostly assembled. And yes the oak is about matching the interior!

The one thing I know for sure is that that little black bumper ball on the end of the spring wouldn't last two minutes with our dogs.

Ok it goes inside the trailer . I think around your stripper pole ? I was right the spring goes in the little piece . I am trying to figure out the layout of a 5 now . I think your pole is near the door like the 19 's ? Pat

Actually, we do! One is a young, svelte and very athletic female Shepherd that loves to leap and nip the tips of high branches on a Juniper tree in our yard to flush out birds to then chase across the yard. She's quite skilled at it, and she could easily leave nose prints on the ceiling of our 21' if she was so inclined. But thanks for the clue that your device will be in an elevated location! Looks like "Jimrules" might be displaying a prototype in post #34 above - maybe?
If it is a paper towel holder, I've always found this ratcheting holder tempting - as others have mounted it under the overhead sink cabinet.

My pic is actually the same towel holder In your link. I had to add the spring to keep the roll from unwinding because it’s mounted vertically.

Jimrules! I knew I had seen your post and this is a modification of that layout. Thank you for posting! I wanted to mount it on the stripper pole to get it out of the way! The oak part was fit to the pole and as mentioned before the U-bolts hold it to the pole .... thanks all for playing ... happy camping! Bill

Just couldn't figure out. We just have our wood hanging paper holder and when we travel put a IKEA Velcro strap around so paper towels don't unwind. Very nice woodwork and you solved a problem . Pat

Those of you "dancing with the pole," can you tell me the diameter of the pole?

Our first 19' didn't have one.
