Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Thanks Jim, I think I'd like one for the bathroom! High up on the wall and pointed to the rear, it won't get wet, nor blind me during those midnight excursions.. not an Escapee Trailer

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Thanks everyone for their ideas for the table top fix. I found a simple one using a slide lock already at hand. I had to cut out a piece, shown here but it works perfectly.

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Wow, that looks too easy! A little sliding bolt lock like that is cheap as well. Thanks for the idea and photos!
Cheers,

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Finished up today installing a smoke lid for the MaxxFan, it lets a lot more light in and I'm quite pleased. Cost was less than $50 shipped.

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Here are some pictures, it is a cloudy day here but you can see how much more light is available with the smoke lens.

one more, if you look carefully you can see some power lines, these covers are wonderful at night with the stars/moonlight.

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Also found this cargo rack @ http://www.farmandfleet.com
$50 with free shipping. It is a kit and does fold up. but the spare keeps it from closing. I'm going to have to drill another hole for it to close. I think the bike rack is 300# capacity and this is advertised 500# but I would not put more than 200# on it. For bikes/firewood/grills if I'm not towing with the truck and using the Jeep. It weighs about 35-40#

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
Today was a nice day and I got a couple more things crossed off my list. The shower trim screws needed sealing so I removed and added sealant to them. I also removed the door and drilled a 2" hole and installed 2 small vents. I can now leave the door shut and there is circulation via windows. I keep the roof vent shut unless camping, to keep out dirt and rain. I also wanted to allow heat to enter the bath area in the winter via the vent. I added a 12v light in the bath for those nighttime visits and not be blinded by the stock wall light. Finally hooked up my 12v monitor alarm which is set for 11.90 volts. Adds a nice nice night time glow to the door area.

12 volt battery monitor
Jim
I have a similar monitor and always wondered if I should leave it plugged in at all times. I was afraid of draw so always unplug it. What are your thoughts?

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
I see your point but I do not think it pulls any more than the propane detector. I leave mine in 365/24 hours and the draw does not show on my charge controller. Otherwise it is worthless. I have thought about putting a switch on the propane detector, maybe this winter when everything is off for periods.

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
I really like the vent in the bathroom door Jim, a great idea and I think I will be on the look out for a vent to do the same, I tried having the max fan on with the bathroom window cracked and was surprised that the bathroom door sealed well enough that the fan wasn't able to pull the air past it so the vent would work well.

Re: Planned modifications for my 19'
The door is hollow and I was going to purchase some circular vents, but had some surplus wire mesh lying around. I cut the hole circular, so I can always replace these with a circular, more decorative cover.
