I had condensation in the winter using a heated mattress pad and the furnace in temperatures down to -0-, no mold because every morning I'd wipe down the wall between the mattress, mainly at the back wall.
There is some air space along both curb/street sides which helps to keep the dampness down. I'm hoping this will allow air to circulate completely and allow body heat to escape other than against the rear wall.
Will report back the success it may have.
If this doesn't work then I have vents to install around the perimeter in the plywood underneath the bed and hope that air will circulate. If not, then a smaller mattress that does not touch the walls is my 3rd option, with wooden hamper/shelfs around the perimeter to act as a buffer.

Success with the bed ventilation, recent use with the heat on out last trip revealed -0- moisture along the outside walls. The marine bedding liner works like a charm.

post #189 has the link to the product I installed under and around the bed sides. It allows air to circulate all around the mattress. Before this install where the wall touched the warm mattress, there was the possibility of condensation forming.

Hi Jim,
I would really like to put bug screens on my furnace, refer and water heater vents. I have been looking (including on Amazon) for quite some time without being able to find the right sizes. Would you please let me know the sizes you used and wherever possible send their links? Hopefully, their installation only requires a few screws.
Thank you!

The water heater and refer screens were home made. I took a piece of scrap screen and cut strips for the refer and used plastic ties. The water heater metal guard pops out and I placed a piece of cut screen and put the guard back in place. The furnace one I bought at a rv place, but you can go to the $ store and purchase 3 ss sink strainers for a $, fine mesh. One of them will fit over the furnace and use a spring to hold it in place

I was afraid you were going to answer with that "handyman stuff"
I'll give it a try when I have use of my right arm again.
Thanks Jim!

you may not need them, wait until you seen any evidence. We had a stink bug problem here in Pennsylvania and I was being proactive.

While in Florida I stopped at a Camping World, and the guy there suggested ....you pretty well need to buy something for the furnace, but the Hot water and Fridge he suggested buying two cheap dog collars and tie them inside- keeps the bugs away. Seemed to work.
