Hey Jim,

Love that radio you are ordering, as I put my build sheet together can I ask why you are not having escape install this item? Are you getting things stereo ready" Just curious. I am thinking of doing this setup installed as I don't have much 12V experience along with speakers installed

You can purchase/send it to Escape, do not know what they charge to install, but it is plug and play set up. You have 2 wires for you 12v supply, you can put an adapter and just plug it into a 12v receptacle or wire direct. There are 2 wires for your left /right speakers, or use a blue tooth speaker, and plug in an antenna. If you have ever assembled a home stereo system you can install one of these.

The radio would be quite easy to install yourself. However, we wanted to have speakers installed in the front and rear overhead compartments, and an antenna built into the walls of the trailer (out of sight). Rather than cutting holes and running wires myself after receiving the Escape, it made sense to have Escape do all of this during the build and install the radio as well.

This radio is quite compact and unobtrusive, and the overall setup seems to be quite popular. While we were going through our orientation at time of pickup, there were several couples that toured our 19' at the factory. They all commented that they liked the stereo, and one of them asked for the name of the company we bought it from.

I think ETI charged me about $100 usd to install 4 speakers (2 fore, 2 aft) and the stereo. They also provided the under-cabinet enclosure.

I had the stereo installed at 45 degrees so I could use the remote inside or outside.

Also had them move my tele antenna jack to under the cabinet so the cable didn't stick out.
