Guess I don't have to worry either since no smart phones here just old Samsung military grade flip phones for being real sturdy and using as a phone only even though capable of Internet . Do have a Apple i-pad though and mini Mac . Pat

By the way, these outlets are not new for 2017 models. I have them in my 2014, although they are white, not black.

If Reace is comfortable with this connection method, I am not going to rush to ripping them out and replacing them when we pick up our 21 in May.

Fair enough. But when was the last time you saw a post referencing a failed 120V outlet failure? To his credit, he invites all sorts of feedback via this Forum; I just haven't seen the reason to change.

And I agree, I'm only changing one outlet because (1) I'm adding a downline heater with a pilot light switch and (2) I do not have the tool to add a line correctly to the stock outlet.
On the plus side I'll be using the push in rear type connection on both the switch and outlet.

..after attending an RV Expo this weekend with what may have been more than 50 different trailers and motor homes..no molded fiberglass... this camper's perception was that most trailer mfg seem to focus on glitzy and pretty or even the occasional fake fireplace and the lazy boy recliner in the living space....that's what seemed to sell based on hearing questions buyers asked of the sellers, nobody seemed to care how its made....wow..a mfg's ideal consumer!
was hoping to see new Dometic powered awning or Hehr frameless windows- all freestanding awnings were Carefree and all frameless windows by some other brand...perhaps Dometic awning and HEHR frameless windows are too new.
one thing there was no lack of was each trailer salesman trashing the other brands they did not sell which sometimes when true revealed some insightful detail.
after attending RV Expo, this camper's favorite Rv trailer had a motor and steering wheel!...oops

Not junk, just not some kind of miracle which cannot fail, making some other thing surely responsible for failure. I've worked with and owned Apple hardware for over 30 years - yes, before there were Macs - and it's good stuff... just not any more perfect than other hardware.
I think people should use whatever USB power supplies work for them.

If you're using the web site, it's your browser (not the website) that does the spell-checking; maybe you can add to its dictionary. "Inverter" is fine with Chrome on my PC, although some other valid words are unknown to it. If using Tapatalk... can't help you with that.

This makes perfect sense to me, especially since the location involved allows access to the rear and space for a box, so the installation advantages of the SCD are not needed.

Finish the wiring today and everything checks out....wiring is ready in 1st picture, wiring completed and everything is working, I know the outlet/covers do not match, but these were on hand and used until I find matching sets. Installed hooks on dinette and table for in transit hold down straps.

Drilled hole for power pedestal, has 2 x15amp outlets and 2x USB ports. Also notched the bottom curb side cushion so that it will fit flat against the wall.

Ah, yah, the good old 2e with dual disk drives Did a ton of stuff with them. The hardware we have now was just a distant dream then.

Neat installation and a very handy location. Much better than trying to reach down and use the one on the face of the dinette seat.
I'll be interested to hear how your heater works out in that location. I've considered that location but haven't permanently installed one yet.

The heater is a Broan 750/1500 watt wall heater, I have installed this model in both of my prior Escapes. When hooked up this heater will keep the trailer warm without making it too hot. You have a choice of keeping it 1500 or disconnecting one grid and making it 750 watts, which is what I did. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

In the 21 Escape I mounted it right next to the bath door for heat in the bath, here in the 19 it is opposite the bath door, how much goes into the bath is yet to be determined. I have thought of tapping into the heater vent which runs behind the bath wall, perhaps in the future.
