I don’t believe the issues people seem to be going thru in today’s society are limited to this site.

Same as Perry. I was at my folks’, so just went to the baby section at Lowes. Did it to the bottom corners of the medicine cabinet mirror too.

There’s pictures on the current last page of my Padawan’s Life thread which is currently on page 2 of the modifications sub forum.

Never felt my range hood was in the way. Did pull it down once though, and ran wires from the light to a switch added for a row of LED's I made. We use it all the time as the perfect all night light.

Myron you're about the last person in the world who'd have to worry about hitting your head on the range hood.

A photo that I'd love to get for this discussion is what I'd see in the 19 lounging on the dinette seat looking along the counter. At night, with the range hood light on, without the fan on, the view of the steam etc. roiling out from the stove heading for the ceiling was very visible. Prompting the comment from me, "turn the fan on".

Like Jim, I've cleaned enough range hood fans or replaced them to know that there's a lot of crud in the air. I'd rather have it up and out, not on my Maxxfan.

People without a range hood shouldn't complain if they have excess condensation and expect any sympathy here.

We are of the group that has never had a head-hitting problem with the hood (we have an E17), although, when this issue was first mentioned years ago, it appeared to be limited to the E-19.
Grease: we love our bacon, BUT, stuff like that is always prepared outside on the camp stove or campfire. (That's why we love our old-fashioned manual awning, so we can cook outside even in a pouring rain.)
Bumpers: We have found worthy solutions at the local dollar store. The current product on display is a pair of rubber or soft plastic dice, that can be altered or cut up as necessary.

Perry, that’s our trailer. We had a couple instances where the corner drew blood. So we took out the vent fan and tried the computer fans. Then we saw this and put it in. It was a great covid project. I think newer trailers have a more streamlined vent fan, and it may depend on how tall your trailer is vs. your height. Who knows. But we are really happy with this vent fan. It’s quieter, has a good light, and has a washable filter.
