I have the older version of the cube fan that Eric linked. I've had it for YEARS. Two D-Cell batteries and those last for about a year. I don't think it's made anymore. Dang planned obsolescence.

Works great for moving air around.

Mine is 2-D also, but I think you must have gotten yours before the quality went into the .......

Ours has been working ok since I soldered a new motor in it.

We use one of those too. Very effective at moving air about, and keeping the temps even throughout.
