I don't have easy access to my trailer right now to get dimensions, but does anyone know which (if any) Fridge Guard would fit the new two door RMD 8555 fridges?

I had originally ordered the small Fridge Guard based on the square footage guide. But this morning I measured my fridge's interior dimensions and learned that I needed the width of the medium sized Fridge Guard that I'll have to shorten but that's okay. Hope they got my email ...

I'm surprised with your dimensions, I have the largest model RMD6555 and still take the small kit.

I have the 4.3. When I measured the interior width of my unit, it is 17.5 ". The photo on the Refrigerator Guard webpage shows the small as being 16.5" wide and the medium as 17.5" wide so I ordered that one. Hope I didn't goof up! We'll see ...

Rich,
I measured mine, it is 17" wide and the small fridge guard fits perfectly, as it is adjustable and expands. The dimension's mentioned are the minimum, there is an adjustable rod that can extend up to another 2-3", on my small is is extended only about 1". If you get the bigger it may be too large.

Here are some pictures after I drilled the holes in the plastic to secure the fridge guard. For plastic you start with a small hole and drill larger holes in order to expand without chipping. In other words start with a small hole, go up next size and so on until the correct size is reached. I think I did 3 or 4 holes to expand. Here you see the velcro patches on the sides that keep the supports in place. Here is the back of the expanding rod, plenty of room to expand.

To cut those holes in the middle you bend the patch in half and then cut a "V" notch.

Argh! Thanks, Jim. I've already changed my order and will call them Monday but it might be too late. I'm out of town and can't measures my fridge for precise measurements. I'm happy to be a guinea pig and will make sure it can be exchanged if it doesn't work out. Wouldn't be the first time ...

Sorry if I am not on right thread . On the road right now but I will get fridge quard ordered when I get back . Frig has been operating 2-3 degrees less then ever before . I am on gas , 4bars , full frig. . When temps are in 60-70 . I get 32 , inside trailer about 67 . Today when traveling and temps went up in 90's I was up to 44 . It seems to recover faster then before if I open door though . I guess I didn't waste my time after all . The fridge quard my help a little more too . My frig never went down to 32 no matter how low temps outside were . So I am getting better results even if a few degrees . Pat

I think the small size will fit better, it fits my 6.7 RMD perfectly.

I too ordered the medium sized for my 4.3, Pat. Sorry to say, I had to return it this week for a small. The width was okay but it was way too long.

The correct size is small as in length because the width is adjustable.

Rich I was going by the width on their page . Can't I just cut the length down and sew ? Pat

Pat,
The small is adjustable width so that 1" difference is split between both sides, the length is what you need small for. Medium would fit your home refer.

What Jim said. I learned the hard way. In the instructions, it is noted that you should have a little space on the sides to help keep the contents stored in the door shelves cool. Go with the small for a 4.3.

Jim just spoke with John and they already mailed out . The best part is they are located in Long Beach . If I can't use the medium at all I can drive and return this one and get the small . It is about a hour drive from here . I have a daughter who lives there . Not far . Hope the word gets around and he can get more orders . Pat
