Replacing screen door

Has anyone replaced the bifold screen door on an older 17B ( mine is 2006)? I’m thinking of building one, wondering what kind of latch to use to keep closed? Will use old aluminum one for pattern, reuse hinges. I don’t think it needs top track? Anyone with suggestions? Thanks!

Without that top track, you'll likely find the hinges broken and the door hanging askew.

I've never thought that I needed a latch to keep the door closed. When you close it, it stays that way. When it's open, it is held open by a strap with a button snap.

It sags and scrapes the floor. Looks like the top hinged corner separates slightly. I tried screwing in a brace, but it only helped for a short while. I also raised the door and hinges as high as I could. The top track has a plastic slider that falls out frequently (top corner of door has retractable pin). It may be missing a piece, but haven’t found anything to replace. Door was like this when trailer bought used. If I build a bifold screen door with strong corners, why would it sag?

Sounds like the plastic slider needs attention. The retractable pin on the door slips into a space in the slider. If it isn't in the proper place, the door would sag and that slider should not fall out.

Also, I have a sweep at the bottom of my screen door.

Do you think the sweep helps hold the door up, keeps it from sagging? When door is closed, I can lift the jam side off the floor. The slider only guides it, correct?

Sweep likely helps. I've had to put the pin back in slider several times recently after rough roads, even though the screen door was in open position with the snap engaged.
