shelves
Here are some storage ideas.
Note, we have black appliances in our Escape called "Solace" so shelf and magazine rack are black to match. See "Solace" on Show Your Escape. The rack and shelf are in & out boxes from a stationary store.

Re: shelves
Where is the magazine rack attached?
And how is it attached? I do kind of miss my book holder...

Re: shelves
I am planning on ordering two of THESE, one for the wall beside the bed, the other for the wall beside the dinette.
I do like the idea of under the bulkhead shelves though. Lisa was talking about doing something like that too. Lovin' all the ideas.

Re: shelves
We bought the (shelves) in a stationary store. They "in & out" boxes for an office desk.
Holes are drilled into the perimeter of the tray and then use short 1/2" to 3/4" long wood screws, #6 or #8, into the paneling (you don't want them to go through the wall into the bathroom). Three screws to a side and three to the bottom. Note, try to have as many screws as possible lined up to go into the framing under the trailer paneling.
In our case, the heads of the screws were spray painted black to match the metal of the tray.
These shelves were installed after market by ourselves and we have one above both dinettes (his & hers) and one under the cabinet over the closet. On this one we keep a large paper clip to hold maps and things when we are on the move.
Cheers, Bobccat

Re: shelves
Looks great, but I still can't bring myself to drill holes. After this last trip I'm reorganizing cupboards again, what gets stored where. I'm still not willing to do anything permanent, but I'm watching what you're doing and making notes.

Re: shelves
Man, I already have a bunch of holes drilled to mount stuff, this is why drill bits were invented.
We are going to do this 17 day excursion to see how everything works for us. We know already that the 19 has more storage then we need, we are just adding for convenience, and to get at the stored items better.

Re: shelves
Hello all, this is my first post on this web site altho I have had my Escape for a number of years. It was the 17'th one built. We picked it up in march 2004 and have enjoyed it ever since. I too have a hard time drilling holes in things. My solution is to use hooks made by 3M. They have a line of hooks that use double stick foam that is easy to removed if later you don't like the location of the hook. I have them inside for towels and clothing. and on the outside of the camper to hold my outdoor shower curtin rods in place. For our towles I get the brass ferrels used on the edges of blue tarps and install one in the corner of the towel so it's easy to hang up and it stays put. We also have a fly swater, small garbage sack, keys, our watch at night hanging on them.

Re: shelves
Hi: jerry l elven...and WELCOME to the forum. It's really nice to hear from some of the pioneers of the great Escapes!!! After we got our '07 5.0 I met the owners of trailer #35(I think) in our town. Maybe we should start a history thread to record the trailer #'s and locations. I know Tammy& Reace have a location map with colour markers to keep track of the ever expanding family.
It's really nice to share hints and Mod's as I too am reluctant to drill holes in such a beautifull trailer. Alf

You can't hold out forever Glenn, one day the drill will come out.....
I have had fun putting things up, one can never have enough junk spots
although my wife might not agree... but she likes this one.

Next to the fridge, not big enough for wine, would only hold two bottles....
