sink

i just ordered a sink its 15.75x15.75 its Houzer onyx granite color. Escape said it would work. hope its not too large to be practical in a 5.0 but i wanted a bigger sink i think the black might look good balancing the black oven. Does anyone else have a sink that big? i have the same type black granite look in my kitchen it does not show any age no scratches etc..

Kate here's a picture of my sink in Ten Forward. ETI won't install this kind of sink anymore (taps on the sink). I'm grateful mine was installed before that changed. I LOVE my sink.

Hi Kate,
Just in case you would still be interested, I have a "Donna D" sink .... unused and uninstalled. I'd like to sell it and could be in your neighborhood in about 2 weeks (Olympia is my home town). The sink was too large to fit in my 17.

Tom

Very FIRST meal I prepared in Ten Forward. Yes, I had raw vegetables too. But Beef and Brew... wanted to make a memory. SCORE! Others drink wine, even others are "bubbly" drinkers. There's no right or wrong decision. But you can't beat that FIRST!

We have an 18" x 16" x 8" deep sink in our 21'. The sink had to be rotated so the 16" dimension was front to back and we really like it. Still lots of counter space between the sink and the oven.

I snapped a photo of our sink and black counter top so you can see what they look like together. You can't get this sink installed any longer, unfortunately. Didn't get the stove so you can't see how they coordinate, but this might help you visual your sink in your upcoming trailer.

Here's the sink we got. We first saw this brand at Pioneer in Chilliwack and fell in love with it. Nathan got one for his 5.0TA and we got ours and that's it for the Escape trailers, unless you install it yourself as they won't do it any longer.

I had ours turned so the faucet would be on the left as I figured it'd be in my way if it was on the right.

BLANCO DIAMOND™ Bar Sink | Blanco

The faucet is also a Blanco, made to fit the color/texture of the sink. For some weird reason, this smaller faucet isn't available in Canada, but their large size one is. I'm quite happy with the bar faucet as it's lower down so I don't get a lot of water splashing around like Nathan says he gets with his (he went with a different brand faucet, I believe). It has a pull out, but I've never used it as I haven't needed to.

The backsplash is the Peel & Stick tiles. I just LOVE how they look esp with the black sink and Black Basalt Slate countertop. Took quite a while to put up and I learned if I ever do this again, don't get curved tile pieces. I had some gaps at the bottom I had to cut small pieces to fill in - major PITA to do so. A straight design would have worked better and most likely has for a few other folks that have used this stuff in a different pattern. There's also a wide selection from Smart Tiles.

This particular pattern isn't shown on the Peel & Stick website, but it is at Lowe's and I found some in our local store the other day. So, I don't know what's up with that. Lowe's also showed other patterns not on the mfgr's site - weird.

Foxhunt - you're not that far away from me if you want to zip up to see the trailer and the sink and all that. We're between Southcenter Mall and the airport. Easy on/off from I5.
