So why is it you got that over the sink window?

Since I'm probably not going to see an Escape in person too soon, it's harder for me to tell how much of a difference a "kitchen" window makes.
Any input?
Why you got it, didn't get it,wish you had, wish you hadn't...

It definitely adds some more light, right where you need it the most Deb. Especially on our unit, where the sink is on the right hand side, away from the door. Besides, being the vinyl wall, you would not likely mount anything there anyway.

Ours being second hand already had it---and am I ever glad it did.
Showing the trailer off to a bunch of people last night they all commented about how bright it was, and a few mentioned the window over the sink!!

It really does "open" the place up....

I have a window over my kitchen sink at home too and when my parents lived in a place that didn't have it--boy did it feel closed in...

We don't have our 19 yet but ordered it with the optional window for the same reasons already posted: the extra light & added feeling of openness. I can't remember if the window opens but, if it does, that would be another benefit - more ventilation & fresh air flow.

It doesn't open, but there is plenty of ventilation in the trailer with all 4 corners and roof vents to use.

Re: So why is it you got that over the sink window?

We bought ours 2nd hand & i didn't have the window over the sink. I've just built a spice rack in that location. We didn't care for the obscure window in the door, so i got Rease to send me a clear (tinted) one as a replacement. That lets more light in! It's also nice to be able to see what's going on in camp before you open that door!! Gary

My husband likes me to have a view while I'm doing dishes....

I love the kitchen window, by the way!

We got the solid back with stainless steel. Easier to keep cooking splatter off the ss than a window. With the large windows around the table and the very large end window, there's lots of "outdoors" on the cooking end.

Re: So why is it you got that over the sink window?

I ordered the large window that comes with the 19' for my 17' to be placed on the passenger side front. Therefore I had an "extra" window (the one that comes with it), which I had placed over the sink. The first Escape that I saw had that sink window and the owners were very happy that they got it. I am also happy with that choice because of the light and view. I also am happy to have ordered the larger side window (the middle of which-thanks to Tammy- is aligned with the awning arm) because of the increased view and lighting and feeling of spaciousness.
