Yep, had it on our 19. Came from West Marine. Easy install too.

Some time back, someone on the FiberglassRV forum used a small spring similar to an old-fashioned screen door spring but smaller. When you open the door, it straightens out and is rigid enough when straight to hold the door up. To close, simply bend the spring, and the weight of the door continues to flex the bend in the spring until the door closes. I hope that makes sense. I'll see if I can go back and the post and find photos.

War Eagle, if you go back to pg 4 of the thread several of us have already found some of these examples using the spring, including links and pictures, but if you have another example that is great.

This is the one I picked up at West Marine. Think it measures 9 inches long. Stainless steel used on boat hatch covers.
