SpringField Marine Pedestal - and a few more mods
I finally got a day off to do some quick mods. Just installed the Springfield pneumatic pedestal and I'm quite pleased with it. Ran into the same issue others have mentioned - I wanted to have it slide front to back instead of side to side, but there's just not enough table to make that practical. So, I remounted it the same as before, with the table only slightly forward of the original mounting points. There's now plenty of room to sit along the back, and the ability to rotate it as well is a big plus.
Also installed a Kamenstein Perfect Tear Paper Towel Holder. Very nice for $12. Has a ratcheting mechanism that gives it just enough tension so you can tear off one sheet at a time, and the wire springs and rubber wedges at either end hold the roll firmly. Also installed a few other doo-hickeys, not pictured.

Pretty neat job Robert . Forgot is does turn also . We just kept the side to side being we are regular dinette . But this system sure beats the dreaded poles . Pat

Table looks really good Robert. Is there any chance that you could post a video of it in operation (being lowered and raised and rotated)?

Now there's a good idea. Wished I had done that. The trailer is in a covered storage area about 15 miles from my house. I'll try to do a video the next time I'm out there.

Since your floor is raised, did you need to add any blocking to the underside of the table?

No. The benches are raised too, so the table height is correct. If you mean under the floor, no also. Just used 1" stainless wood screws with a large trumpet head to fit the recessed holes. With the pedestal base thickness that means the screws only go in about 3/4 inch.

Yep, they're getting popular Pat. I decided to keep the stock floor for now, since I didn't have time to install the Allure flooring. It can wait until next year.

is it the 3 stage air model # 1660230 ?
It seems like a fantastic modification to me.
(I wonder how many body parts I'll have to sell to get one.)

Yes. Here's the link:
Springfield 3-Stage Air-Powered Table Pedestal - Overton's
If you enter the code SAVE15 during checkout, they knock about $48 off the price. $271.99 is alot better than $319.99.

Now, if you wanted, does it lift out of the base for removal? Also, is it height adjustable between min and max?

No sir, permanently mounted to the floor with 6 screws. Can't pull the shaft out of the base either. We didn't mind that, considering how much more versatile it made the table, and the added legroom with one centered pole vs two parallel poles.

Man, the price now is an incredible bargain compared to what I had to pay for one 20 years ago for my boat.
I wouldn't be surprised, given that more Escape owners are discovering how much better they are compared to the factory offering, that, at some point, ETI doesn't put it on the option list.

Each section is clamped with a ring and lever. Just pull out or push in on the lever. Because of the default raised height of 28", we just leave it all the way up. The really cool part is the ability to rotate it.

I imagine you would need something to slide the table forward first, no?

Do you mean in order to clear the cushions or walls? Our table was installed sliding left to right and we just kept it that way. When the table is unclamped it will rotate as far as clearances allow. The 3rd photo in post #1 shows it slid all the way to the right then rotated left about 30 degrees, but of course it can rotate more.

Yes, in order to clear the walls. There would be no room to turn the table more than a couple degrees without risk of damaging the wall surface. Is yours a U-shaped dinette? I could definitely see that working good there.
