Stabilizers for the Electric Dometic Awning

Would this work for the electric Dometic awning?

I'm thinking Arizona with a hanging sun shade.

Thanks,

Perry

That should work, but you have to disable the automatic retract by poweing it off. In addition, not sure what the shade would attach to, I do not remember is the awning has a slot for an attachment. On edit, after reading the instructions, I do not think so. The tension straps pull on the pole and awning together, not good. If the pole was able to be used without putting tension on awning, perhaps.

Someone on here (Tin?) did something very similar. I am considering that too. One would have to turn the power off and stick around, or be certain that it there is no heavy rain or wind in the forecast.

Yes, there is a cord slot on the bottom of the leading edge.

We found the biggest need was for some way to cover the sides of the awning when in AZ last winter. We had the front covered with the sun screen and frequently moved it and attached it to the arms of the manual awning. Is there anything to attach one to on the power awning? doesn't look it from the picture.
