Step light - motion sensor?

Thought maybe a battery-powered LED motion sensing light with ambient light sensing (so not on during daytime) might make sense - I have a magnetic one mounted to the frame behind the step, but it plugs into an external 12V outlet. This might be way easier than actually running wires and a switch (if it works.) Nice little video down the page.......on order!

I had a motion led step light on my T@da, during one night towing it was almost on all the time as I passed a vehicle it would come on, I'd stay with a switched unit.

My thought was with the magnetic attachment, just pull it off and stow when putting the step away to travel.

That actually sounds like a good arrangement Charlie, because I imagine you would need it only for dark campsites, and keeping it stowed then would be a good option. It would be an easy and cheap way to try and see if it works for you.
