Storage

Any ideas for storing wine bottles and wine glasses ? I use plastic wine glasses but they are hard to store. Also ideas for making the cupboard/ closet in the 17 b more useful it's just a big hole and things get dumped in it - I have some plastic drawers but they don't really fit well and are difficult to open

I use tube socks on the bottles for the GF's wine as for glasses plastic or she has a stainless cup that she uses now and then. In my 19 I use the lower cabinet under the sink stood up right.

We found some nice, big, thick acrylic wine glasses in a wine tasting room and lay them on their side in the cupboard above the sink. They lock in pretty well. The wine bottles seem to ride safely standing up in the narrow wheel-well cupboards along the floor.

Custom dividers work well in both upper and lower cabinets.

The Storvino wine crate holds 6 bottles and fits under our bench seat. It is available in Canada at London Drugs and online at The Container Store.

While some oenophiles may consider this heresy, wine does not necessarily need to be consumed from a glass with a stem. Sure, you don't want to warm up a white wine with your hand, but hold on to the top of the glass and don't fill it completely. I suggest considering some non-stemmed glasses which work for multiple purposes and are easier to store.

If it's good enough for Riedel, it's good enough for my wife. She has a couple of them and they travel in the original box in the top cupboard.

I built a wine glass and mug rack to hold ours. Not pictured are the AeroPress coffee supplies we store there.

We use these six pack wine cartons from Safeway/Sobeys Liquor stores. They fit nicely (2 or 3 if you're thirsty) under the right dinette seat of our 19. Plus you get a 10% discount at the above mentioned stores when you buy 6 or more bottles of wine at one time!Attachment 18122
