Re: Storage box on tongue

I should point out that by adding the cargo carrier to the rear bumper of the 17B, I will own an Escape 19.

But you would still need another axle.

I am seriously considering the Delta one for my trailer tongue, it is the largest I have found for that application, and will be quite a bit cheaper at $300US + shipping then getting one custom built.

Re: Storage box on tongue

Here's a few pictures of our storage box on our new (one week old) 19' Escape that my son, GoCougsKev, had Reace add to the Escape. The two 6 volt batteries are in the storage box. More information will be following as will my tome, “The Saga of the 2009 Oregon Gathering at Bandon.” I just hope the pictues come across.

Re: Storage box on tongue

I just checked for a supplier of the 48" bright aluminum box on Delta's site, and found that Fastenal here in Calgary was a supplier. A call in to them confirmed they can get it for me. Their list price is $495, but I ended up with them willing to sell it to me for $389.

HERE is the link to the box on Delta's site. Select the aluminum tongue box button on the right, then click on the 'Models, Fitments & Specs' button to see the sizes for it in aluminum or steel. I just gave the guy the part number and he found it on his system with no problem.

I am going to confirm that it will fit and work, then likely order one in if it does.

Re: Storage box on tongue

picture of the batteries. BTW, I really dislike the forums 120 second delay you have to wait between each posting. If i post at 119 seconds, it seems like my delay timer resets, what a pain when trying to post multiple pictures! It might be good to keep spammers away, but I would think 30-60 seconds would be enough?

GoCougsKev - I know it's inconvenient and in a couple instances a down right pain.. I don't think you were a member at the time we got hit hard with the spam ( hundreds upon hundreds of inappropriate posts/pictures) it really took some time & effort to get everything back to normal..several hours of consolidated time of both Glenn & later myself.. I put in the delay, plus some other measures to deter malicious behavior.. The 120 sec delay isn't protection against an occasional spam, it's to deter companies that get paid by the post to spam..it's just not cost effective for them to try..

I'll reduce it to 90 sec as a middle ground as I try to keep members input in mind and I have gotten requests in the past to reduce it.. But I really don't want to go through another round like we had before.. so we'll set it to 90 and see how that works for a while..

Ah, yes. I remember trying to delete the incoming and I couldn't keep up. Great way to spend a Sat. morning.

Re: Storage box on tongue

Hi Jeff,

Well 90 seconds vs. 120 seems like a step in the right direction. Is it possible to reduce or remove this delay for folks who have X amount of posts which most likely proves they are loyal users? Hopefully I am not highjacking this thread...

Sorry, that's currently not available with the forum software, it's a general setting that applies to all "groups & levels", in fact it I have Admin rights and it applies to me.. That would be a nice feature though..
