Stove Top oven

Has anyone tried one of these on the 17b wedgewood vision cooktop? It’s supposed to work well in Rv and boats
Has excellent reviews. Folds up about the size of a book when not in use

I have one. Would never use it inside the trailer. I have put it on a one burner butane stove and on my BBQ outside. I think it's still in the trailer, under the bench where it's not easily accessed. It weighs seven pounds, so if it is still there, I should really take it out and leave it somewhere.
My BBQ can do everything the Coleman oven can do, with less bother.

I had a folding Coleman on a boat I called home for many years. It didn't take long to turn into a rusty mess.... perhaps it was the salt air. I'd never want another even if it was free or I was paid to have it.

There must be a better way …. like visiting your camping neighbors who have ovens at dinner time. Your nose knows. (smirk)

I had one, tried it a couple of times outside the trailer, then gave it away. My solution was to exchange the 17B for a 21 with an oven.

Had the Coleman camp oven and, like gbaglo, would never use it inside. It gets unbelievably hot on the outside of the oven and it's heavy. We baked cookies in it once on a camp stove and, while the cookies were good, the oven was a pain to assemble, monitor, etc. Used it once and sold it. Our solution was the same as Jon's ... a 21' with an oven. In lieu of that, I would use a toaster-type oven.

Folks so often disregard this. Almost any BBQ can be used to bake. An oven stone will help even the heat and stop burning on the bottom.

We’ve been using an air fryer for inside the trailer, or in our clam, (when it’s raining). It’s basically a convection oven.

Oops. I only read the last page, and didn’t catch that it was for non-shoreline camping. Wait! This only has one page!

On our fall moose hunt I bake sour dough bread in my Coleman oven.We build an out door kitchen attached to our big wall tent.Bran muffins come out good too and super easy..
I cover the top with aluminum foil to keep the heat in.Gets up to about 425 F in the cold fall weather.Camp cooks are popular. My youngest son (56) cooks ,I bake and do dishes. And clean and cut moose. My 2 cents worth.

Do you want another Coleman oven?
One can never have too many Coleman ovens.
Trade you for the Porsche.

Here's my oven...I think. OK, ok, so I've never tried baking cookies in it.

Hi Glen.
Nice picture of our 17 footer.Sometime we miss that 17.So handy to haul all over and lots of light, but the bed climb over did us in.
Have to pass on your generous offer of another Coleman oven.Always pack to much stuff for our hunting trips. Not allowed to bring my cast iron dutch ovens and pans , too heavy.
Maybe just bring one to the desert for cooking chili in the ground with coals.
Just bury it and dig it out in time for supper?Bring out the cold beer and put my feet up.
As always, dreaming.

I loaded my 17B with cast iron pans for a while. I now leave them home and use T-Fal Professional ( recommended by Cook's Country, but no longer available model ). Every bit helps.

My grandmother had on that she used for probably 25+ years in her apartment which had a two burner gas stove. She was very skilled at using it. It was impressive . Than being said, I have thought about it and will continue to look for an alternative.

I noted that many and possibly most campers I have seen, including not Escape models, use their ovens as storage. Several have admitted to never using them.

I am going to play with my instant pot, and may try an electric skillet. For the most part we just do not bake.
