The table in the 5.0, and I assume 21 too, is 34.5"W(back) / 35.5"W(front) x 28/75" front to back. This is with the U-shaped dinette.

Thanks for the numbers, Jim. I think we will go with the Dicor.
Can anybody confirm the standard table size with the U-shaped dinette in the 21?

I wondered about that. Thought it might be some kind of Imperial measurement.

Those are Chris R's measurements from his 5.0, and my bad dictation.

They are the same pretty much on our 5.0TA, which is the same as the 21. 34.5 back, 35 at the widest point before the 45 degree corners, 25 at the very front, 29.125 deep.
I have wondered if the table is a standard size or if the custom fit it to fit the benches on each trailer.

A couple pages back, there was a discussion on raising the dinette. What's the benefit of that?

The seats are about 4" higher than a standard chair, which is 18". I believe this is done in order to fit the water heater. The resultant, especially for those with shorter legs, is that their feet can't touch the floor when seated. Raising the floor remedies this.

Wasn't there something about raising the bench seating so folks could see out the windows? I thought the raised floor made up for the change in height. Could have it all mixed up too.

That was done in the front of the 19 for some people. We never felt we needed it, but to be fair, we mostly sat there on miserable nights, after dark.

Ok, so in the 21 and 5.0TA dinette which I'm thinking should be identical, if electrical is in one bench and the water heater is in the other, is there any storage space? Guessing the back bench on U-shaped dinettes are open for our storing treasures? A little hard to access. Hmmm....
It's getting to be a challenge to make up a build sheet since I've been in a 21 for about 3 minutes last June.

In the 21 (without the u-shaped dinette), the electrical is under the driver side bench. The water heater is under the bed. The batteries are under the passenger side bench. There is storage space available under both benches. It is just reduced because of the batteries / electrical. But Lindy and I still have lots of unused storage here and there in the trailer. And we have some stuff we should leave at home.

In the U dinette, the batteries and the converter are in the back bench, the water heater in the drivers side. If you are creative there is some room in both, but not a lot. The drivers side is empty and where the outside hatch goes if you get such.

The passenger side bench on a 21' is completely empty with the U dinette now. Electrical panel is on back bench. Water heater access door can be seen in photo near front of 21' left of wheels (not the hatch). Exterior shower is to the left of water heater.

I think you can plan your storage in the 21' with the "U" option.BlackJack has battery on curb side and all electrical on street side leaves the entire rear open for storage and you can fit 6' long items there. That said, I would rearrange my "U" and put battery in rear with the electrical. This leaves both sides open and the sides are more accessible than the rear with the "U" option.

That is the present standard configuration already, batteries and other on back side, passenger and driver's side benches empty, electrical cord at back corner.

Thanks. That helps alot. Now, if I may digress away from table pedestals (going with the u-shaped dinette and the Dicor 4way pedestal) a little more, where is the heater? I'm confused because the ETI website shows heater vents under the bed but many have doors, drawers and cabinets in the same space. Also, I remember when Reace announced moving the heater to the 3/4 tall cabinet but the website shows a cabinet door there now.
My plan, unless the heater gets in the way, is to subdivide the under bed storage for rarely used "stuff" and put in tractors1's pull out door and go for the optional drivers side hatch.

The furnace is in the stack of drawers facing door that is near the bed. (Ours is not which is why I did not show you the driver's side bench which on yours should be almost all empty.)Website photos often old.
Under the bed on driver's side is the water pump so you have room between it and the bath side. Also standard access hatch is on driver's for under bed for that area. Optional hatch goes at rear of trailer, driver's, for under dinette.
You would want an extra door in bed platform in addition to standard one at foot of bed.

Cathy, no heater ducts then? That's good news. So you also put a drawer in the bed platform by the bath door? Seems like a logical place.
I have to find a space for the cat litter and her bed but I'm still pondering that one.

Our furnace is different from yours so someone else should answer.
Sorry, I corrected that to "door." You need a second optional cost door to get at items under the bed. The drawer was Charlie's own option and we do not have it. We use a bunch of bins that we had from the 19'.
People have put cat doors in the dinette which I think Escape will do.
