tongue Box Installation

I was impressed with "Falling Water" but not so much by "Box Falling Forward"

I found the falling forward look jarring but since I made my last two tongue boxes and was prepared to make my third until I got my loyalty bonus free box it didn't matter too much to me.

ETI volunteered to install it but I said no thanks. I experimented with various wedges and decided on ones 1" thick and 12" long were the way to go.

The wedges sit on a EPDM gasket so any differential movement caused by vibration won't damage the paint.

I don't know if I'm the only Escape with both the vinyl rock guards and a tongue box. Interesting that the white lid matches the white trailer gel coat and the off white of the sprayed on coating matches the vinyl rock guards.

Well, free was nice, and I'm happy to have it, especially since I like the looks better now.

Are you going to keep those mud guards, you got them before you realized you were entitled to a free box, correct?

Gotta spray that propane tank cover Ron.
Fusion Dover White, unless they've changed the colour of the trailer.

Don't need any more mud, I've had my share.

Yes, they were installed already. I sent an email asking about the bonus box the night before pickup. We were on our way to pickup when they responded that, yes, we were eligible for one.

I know some folks don't care for the vinyl guards but I don't mind them given some of the roads we travel on.

Don't know Glenn. This gelcoat looks whiter than my E19. I have a spare propane cover that had been sprayed with Krylon. I'll put it on and see how it looks.
